The next model, now underway, will be a Tornado GR.1 in Operation Granby/ Desert Storm livery. For this I will be using the 1/48 Italeri kit. The RAF units in the first Gulf War made good use of nose art, which, combined with the use of desert pink camouflage, made the Tornados iconic. The main challenge will be making justice to the amount of weathering that these planes experienced.
