Next out of the shipyard will be the Trumpeter 1/350 USS England (DE-635), which I am completing using the Five Star Model photoetch and a few bits and bobs donated by friends or improvised. The main challenge here has been to make a model ship in measure 21 camouflage look "interesting", considering that it is essentially all different shades of dark blue. I am trying to do this by using paint from different companies to create slight variations.
This is a shot of the work in progress. Most sub-assemblies are done, and only missing are the mast, boat, and rigging. The hull is shiny due to clear gloss, in preparation for decals.
