Construction started in my first 1/72 aircraft model. For this, I got an old Matchbox kit of PB4Y-2 (the naval version of the B-24 Liberator). I intend to use the markings for one of the most successful patrol bombers in World War II, VPB-106's "Redwing" (X505):

This Privateer is the better-looking brother of the B-24 Liberator, but still looks like a beast:
