HNLMS de Ruyter: 1st place in the small scale ships (powered) category.

RC-135 Rivet Joint: 1st place in the Micro Scale aircraft category:

The latter was a rework of last year's unsuccessful entry. The main difference was adjusting the level of shininess (using a 50:50 SMS clear gloss and flat clear mix, instead of just the gloss). This, combined with more attention to the level of weathering and panel lines, and better demarcation between some of the surfaces, did the trick!

I am still to get any successes in the 1/48 planes, despite attempts over several years...
