Next project in line is AFV Club's 1/700 Knox class frigate kit, which I intend to build with Flagship Model's photo etch set. Looking forward to a modern kit, after all the battles with "vintage" stuff.
I really like the utilitarian-but-elegant look of these ships, which would have had the unenviable job of protecting transatlantic convoys against swarms of soviet subs, should the Cold War have heated up in the 70's and 80's.
To celebrate the start of the new project I include a really nice "action shot" of one of the early ships in the class, the USS Lockwood, conducting one of the earliest trials of the Harpoon SSM.
